How Things
Are Working Out
Design theory,
CFD analysis, tank testing, and expert advice don't hold a candle to what
happens in the real world of cruising, especially that which takes
place offshore.
Our approach
to design and systems is different, because we try to optimize for how
our boats are going to be used, rather than how they look in a boat show.
We are always
looking out for better ways of creating the "perfect cruising boat". We're
not afraid to try new approaches, especially in our systems.
Sometimes
these work out, other times, after some trial and error, we go a different
route.
Now that
Wind Horse has 25,000+ miles under her keel, we've got some pretty
good data on what is working and what needs fine-tuning. With
this in mind, we thought it might be interesting to do a series of short
articles on how things are working out.
These articles
are all listed along the left, under the headline "How Things Are
Working Out".
