About the Authors - Steve & Linda Dashew

Steve & Linda Dashew have devoted their lives to helping others fulfill cruising dreams. They write from a real-world perspective based on a lifetime of cruising and racing. They have sailed more than 200,000 miles, including a circumnavigation with their young family, and have won numerous world championships in racing. Steve and Linda are respected yacht designers and builders (their Deerfoot, Sundeer, and Beowulf Series yachts are considered the ultimate cruising machines), and they've owned two boat yards.

With a blend of hands-on design/building and bluewater sailing experience, Steve and Linda offer a perspective that is unique in the world of cruising. Literally hundreds of thousands of sailors in more than 55 countries around the world rely on the Dashews' books, videos, and articles to help make their cruising dreams come true.
