For the past 25 years Jimmy Cornell has sailed more than 150,000 miles on the oceans and seas of the world, including two circumnavigations and two voyages to Antarctica. He is the founder of the cruising rally concept, and his experience with the needs of the thousands of cruisers in his rallies has led him to put together World Cruising Handbook and World Cruising Routes. Jimmy is the author of hundreds of magazine articles, and is a regular contributor to Cruising World and Bluewater Sailing in the US, and Yachting World in the UK.
