Half Way

Family and Friends:

Early this morning we reached the half way mark on our little voyage. The winds have been fresh and steady. We knocked out 224 miles in 24 hours with just our working sails and didn't adjust a sail or the autopilot setting for nearly 24 hours. Our noon position was 36 deg. 02 min. South by 165 deg. 21 min. West. If we'd have caught a fish it would have been a perfect day! We're just happy that Aeolus, the wind god is being very cooperative.

After a day of chatting, napping, and staring out into the nothingness of the Southern Ocean, we celebrated with the "Moonshadow" traditional turkey dinner and shared a great bottle of New Zealand wine. It was the best cuisine for at least a thousand miles in any direction.

Cheers, George, Paula, Steve, Phyllis, Dale and MaiTai
