July 7, 2005 - We're Baa-aack
by Al & Beth Liggett

Hi Ya!

Yep, dropped the anchor in "our place" in Kuah, Langkawi, day before yesterday. Passage was mostly a good one - fifteen days, 1935 miles, 129 mile/day average, with 55 hours on the engine. Most of that was accrued during the last 24 hours before arrival as there was just NO wind. Will write more about it later.

Yesterday morning we awoke to a 45-knot squall and rain. This is the welcoming committee? That squall blew through and we moved to the Langkawi Yacht Club where during lunch another 45-knotter hit us. But - we were neatly tied up (smile) and ready for a wash-down anyway. We will be here at the YC for a while...until we decide what we want to do next, I suppose.

Today we are off to start the run-down of errands, top of the list being to delve into what is lurking in our various E-mail accounts since we have been gone. We will try to get organized to use the WiFi point at the Yacht Club as soon as we can. Sooo...you'll hear from us again soon.
