Summer 2002
Greenland's West Coast - 16Aug02
by Dave & Jaja

Hi SetSail,

After departing from the weather station on Greenland's east coast we made our way down the fjords to the west coast. It has been tricky navigating in dense fog with huge icebergs wandering about. When using the radar it is impossible to tell what is ice and what is land...

We plan to hang around for another week then make preparations for our departure to Newfoundland. Otherwise, all is well. Greenland has a stunning coastline with hundreds of anchorages. Except for typical temperature in the high thirties and low forties, this is paradise. That's about it.

Bye for now, Dave & Jaja
